Field Blend

Our Field Blend has an inky ruby red color with a dark purple hue. The aromas are complex, with brambly dark blueberry and plum and notes of cigar box and toasted oak. The aromas follow through in the mouth, delivering concentrated blueberry and plum flavors with a sweet fruit entry, full body, and long finish. The dense tannins are firm but ripe and fine in texture, contributing to the length and suppleness of the finish.

Vintage

The 2014 growing season began with a mild winter with very low rainfall that gave way to an early spring and an early bud break. Heavy rainfall in April saturated the soil and provided sufficient water for the season. Moderate weather conditions prevailed throughout the summer, providing ideal conditions for developing high quality and flavor concentration in the grapes. Harvest started early and progressed smoothly with the grapes ripening to full maturity.
