Our Reserve Field Blend has an inky black color with a ruby red edge. The aromas are complex, with blackberry, tobacco, and oak toast. The wine has superb concentration with a sweet fruit entry, full body, and long finish. The tannins are firm but ripe and fine in texture, contributing to the length and richness of the finish.
2013 was a superb growing season, yielding high quality across both white and red grape varietals. Bud break was early due to the mild spring temperatures. And harvest started several weeks earlier than the last few vintages. With the moderate temperatures, grapes matured slowly, but steadily, achieving full flavor development and tannin maturity.
